Mytilene Chess Club, Lesvos Prefecture, The Ministry of Aegean and the Precinct of Northern Aegean announce the 7th International Open Lesvos Chess Tournament 2009
Regulations
FIDE rated Swiss System in 9 rounds. All FIDE and Greek Chess Federation regulations are in force. For the pairings the Swiss Manager programme will be used. The Tournament will be evaluated for Greek and international ELO.
Playing Hall
The games will take place at «Heliotrope» (www.heliotrope.gr) hotel 4km from Mytilene.
Accommodation
1. At hotel «Heliotrope» 4* (tel. +302251045857)
35€ per person a day (in a double room with breakfast).
28€ per person a day (in a triple room with breakfast).
25€ per person a day (in a quadruple room with breakfast).
55€ per person a day (in a single room with breakfast).
For lunch or dinner there will be an additional cost of 10€.
2. At rental rooms “Ta Pefka” (close to “Heliotrope”) 27€ per person per day, in fully air-conditioning rooms without breakfast.

Postponements are in no case allowed. In order for an exception to be made the administrator of the games must be informed before the completion of the previous round. Time limit: 90 minutes + 30” incitement for every move starting from move 1. The recording of the moves is obligatory throughout the game.

b. Sum of Progressive Scores
c. Tournament Performance Ratings
d. Drawing of lots
Appeals
Appeals against an arbiter’s decision must be submitted in written form not later than thirty minutes after the end of the round. Appeals must be accompanied by a 50€ fee which is returnable if the appeal is successful. The Appeals Committee consisting of a Chairman, two members and two reserve members will be appointed by the Administrator before the start of the first round. The decisions of the committee will be final.

1st Place 600€ + cup
2nd Place 450€ + cup
3rd Place 300€ + cup
4th Place 150€ + cup
1st Woman 200€ + cup
1st local 100€ + cup
Medals will be awarded to Categories u18, u16, u12, u10, u8
In case of a tie, prizes are divided equally
No player can receive more than one prizes
Entry Fee 25€ (20€ for players under 18)
No Entry Fee for players with national or international ELO>2400 and GM, IM, WGM, WIM.
Fees must be paid at the playing Hall before the start of the first round.
Participation is open to all players (100 participants at the maximum according to strict priority)
After the start of the first round participations are left to the discretion of the administrator.
